Travel-sickness? Is this real? Well according to Merriam and Webster, no, but as far as I'm concerned it is a very real thing. That itch you get when you just HAVE to take flight.
Sometimes as much as you would like to, you just don't have the cash or time off from work to travel to Russia or Thailand on a moment's notice. That doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to immerse yourself in travel while you wait for your big trip. Yesterday I took a trip to the Epcot Center World Showcase (one of the few perks of living in Central Florida!) and walked around all the mock-ups of different countries from around the globe. Here are some of my photos from faux-Japan as well as a list on how to keep your own wanderlust at bay!

TOP FIVE WAYS TO KEEP WANDERLUST AT BAY:
1) Focus on your future trips. Not just the big picture, but little details like how the sheets in your hotel will feel, what conversations you'll have with locals and how spicy the food will be. Immerse yourself in it completely. Make a countdown or mark the day of your departure in your calendar. Seeing that your trip is coming up will keep you motivated!
2) Go global! Visit a foreign food market, go to a cultural festivals and visit stores that specialize in international goods. Get your fix on your favorite Belgian chocolates or French bread.
3) Keep your travel trinkets around. A pillowcase from Morocco or a scented candle that reminds you of your trip to San Francisco. Whatever!
4) Journal. Write, draw, paint, anything! Express yourself and your need to travel.
5) Take a walk in your own city/town. Rediscover what it is you love about the place you live.
